24 Hour Emergency Plumbers in Pittsburgh and nearby cities.
There’s nothing like a refreshing glass of clear drinking water, but not everyone gets to enjoy it. Tap water can often be cloudy, discolored, or even smelly. These are signs that your water is contaminated, and the cause can be determined by a qualified plumber.
A water filtration system can help remove many of the pollutants that can be found in tap water. If you are interested in cleaner water, then consider a whole house water filtration installation in Pittsburgh. The plumbers at Mr. Rooter Plumbing are happy to help.
Municipalities invest substantial time and resources in treating water, but the inherent vulnerabilities of the distribution system demand additional measures at the household level. Water travels through an intricate network of pipes from treatment plants to residential taps, and it encounters potential sources of contamination along the way.
Aging infrastructure, corroded pipes, and external pollutants can introduce harmful substances into the water, and a water filtration installation offers an extra layer of defense to keep your water clean and clear.
The most obvious benefit of a whole house water filtration installation is it improves the taste and odor of water by removing chlorine and other substances. This is particularly important for those who are sensitive to the taste of tap water. But there are other benefits to consider as well:
There are many options when you want to filter your water. For beginners, there’s the choice between a point-of-use filtration system and a whole house water filtration installation in Pittsburgh.
If you only want your kitchen faucet filtered, then a point-of-use water filter might be enough. For comprehensive filtration, you want to go with a whole house water filtration system.
Another decision you will have to make when choosing a water filtration installation is the contaminants to target. For instance, common targets include chlorine, sediment, microbes, and heavy metals. You should decide based on the results of your water quality tests.
Water filtration systems are long-lasting and need very little maintenance. Still, you may need a water filtration repair if there’s accidental damage. Even the most well-maintained systems will need to be replaced eventually.
Whether you need a repair or a water filtration replacement, the dependable plumbers at Mr. Rooter Plumbing are here to help. Call now to schedule an appointment or request urgent assistance. Our team is ready when you are.

Brandon replaced our water pressure regulator and was very thorough with his explanations to my questions and professional throughout the entire process. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to replace it in a timely manner. Highly recommend Brandon for all plumbing services!
I'm very impressed with Mr. Rooter. I was smelling a small amount of gas randomly throughout my kitchen area. The office answered my call and said they would put me on the schedule for the same day and someone would call later with a specific time. The office called back a few hours later and said a technician would be there within the hour. The technician they sent was named Ryan and he could not have been any better. Friendly from the moment I opened the door and informative throughout the process. He thoroughly tested the whole area for gas and finally determined the leak was coming from a connection point at the wall. He discussed all of my options and pricing before he did any of the work. In the end, he corrected the leak and gave me further quotes for work we may want to consider in the future. Ryan was not pushy in any way and I agreed with his recommendations during the repair. He also worked until very late in the evening to make sure it was done right. Much appreciated and I will definitely use Mr. Rooter for my future plumbing needs.
