24 Hour Emergency Plumbers in Pittsburgh and nearby cities.
When water starts backing up, or there’s a terrible sewage smell coming from your drains, it’s usually a sign that something serious is going on beneath the surface. Sewer line problems can lead to emergency repairs and health hazards if ignored. If you’re experiencing any of these issues, the team at Mr. Rooter Plumbing can help you find the right solution. Keep reading to learn more about the early warning signs of a sewer line problem and what you can do to protect your home from the damage that untreated sewer issues can cause.
If your home has a sewer line issue, it usually doesn’t take long before you start noticing something is off. Knowing about the early signs can save you from a much larger problem in the future. Some red flags to watch for include:
The occasional clog can be annoying, but frequent backups are a sign of a larger issue. When your sewer line is compromised, you might notice that your toilets, sinks, and showers are all draining slower than usual or backing up regularly. These backups can occur for many different reasons, like tree roots infiltrating the line, a buildup of debris, or shifting soil around your pipes. If you’re noticing these symptoms all the time, you should call a plumber to inspect the issue. Sewer line cleaning can help clear out blockages, but if the line itself is damaged, a trenchless sewer line replacement in Belle Vernon might be a more permanent solution.
A sewer line inspection allows professionals to assess the condition of your pipes and pinpoint any areas that may be at risk. During an inspection, your plumber may use specialized cameras to get an inside look at the state of your sewer line. This is especially useful for spotting problems like cracks, corrosion, or root intrusion that might not be causing symptoms yet but could lead to future trouble. Regular sewer line inspections can reveal whether you’ll need sewer line cleaning or a new sewer line installation in the near future. Catching problems early will give you an opportunity to fix them before they lead to expensive repairs or replacements.
If a sewer line is compromised, it can allow sewage to seep into your yard or your home and lead to serious water damage and health risks. Even a small crack in your sewer line can cause soil erosion around the foundation of your home as well. Over time, this can lead to settling or even structural issues if left neglected. In the worst cases, water can pool under the foundation and create an environment for mold and mildew, which can be very harmful to your health.
If your sewer line does need a more extensive repair, trenchless sewer line replacement in Belle Vernon can be a less invasive option. Trenchless repair methods allow professionals to fix or replace sections of your sewer line without digging up your yard or driveway. Instead of the traditional approach, which requires digging a large trench to access the pipe, trenchless repair uses advanced technology to make repairs from within the pipe itself. Here are some of the benefits of trenchless sewer repair:

I'm very impressed with Mr. Rooter. I was smelling a small amount of gas randomly throughout my kitchen area. The office answered my call and said they would put me on the schedule for the same day and someone would call later with a specific time. The office called back a few hours later and said a technician would be there within the hour. The technician they sent was named Ryan and he could not have been any better. Friendly from the moment I opened the door and informative throughout the process. He thoroughly tested the whole area for gas and finally determined the leak was coming from a connection point at the wall. He discussed all of my options and pricing before he did any of the work. In the end, he corrected the leak and gave me further quotes for work we may want to consider in the future. Ryan was not pushy in any way and I agreed with his recommendations during the repair. He also worked until very late in the evening to make sure it was done right. Much appreciated and I will definitely use Mr. Rooter for my future plumbing needs.
Our toilet started leaking right after my spouse went out of town and I was left home alone with a newborn. I had called another company and they couldn't get out until the following week, however, Mr. Rooter got someone out within 2 hours, and it was fixed a couple hours after that! The technician, Chris, was really professional and courteous, and I feel as though the price was quite reasonable. Really happy with the service and we'll be using Mr. Rooter in the future!
