Local Leak Detection Service in Sewickley, PA

Leaks are a common problem in our world today. Every homeowner must have had or at least heard of this nightmare. Leaks are annoying in so many aspects. Besides building mold that causes the smell, moisture, and disgusting sight, leaks can cause significant damage to the structure of the house. That’s why throughout this article, we will talk more about types of leaks, how leak detection can help, and how you can try to detect it yourself.

Slab and Basement Leaks

These leaks are sneaky. So, to know or identify these, you must be very careful. To avoid any late notices with a basement leak, you would have to check the surrounding area after any harsh rainfall. If you see any water around or there is water that flows inside the walls, then this can be a good indicator to call a professional plumbing service right away before the leak causes damage to the structure of the house. Slab leaks are a little harder to detect. To know that you have a slab leak, then you would have to notice a decrease in water pressure, feel warm areas on the floor, and smell a mustiness. Then it may be time to get your leak detection in Sewickley today.

Kitchen Sink and Toilet Leaks

Since we use the kitchen and toilet every day, any person can easily identify anything odd in those areas. However, it may just be that we weren’t careful so we need to know what can be odd behavior in these areas. For toilet leaks, if after flushing there is a water flow that doesn’t easily stop or there is a constant dripping this may require a water leak repair. How to Detect a Leak?

The easiest way to know you have a leak without any effort is to check the water bill. If you get an unusually high water bill, then this can be a great indicator. Of course, there are some other ways of checking if you have a water leak. For example, if you look around the room and you notice any must or its smell, see a lot of bubbles in the walls, or hear a water flowing sound, then most likely you have a leak. Our toilet started leaking right after my spouse went out of town and I was left home alone with a newborn. I had called another company and they couldn't get out until the following week, however, Mr. Rooter got someone out within 2 hours, and it was fixed a couple hours after that! The technician, Chris, was really professional and courteous, and I feel as though the price was quite reasonable. Really happy with the service and we'll be using Mr. Rooter in the future!

My first point of contact after I set up my appointment was Nicki (Nikki), she was VERY kind and professional on the phone. She provided reassurance in my time of plumbing panic letting me know that everything was going to be fine and she’s here to help! Then Angelo arrived. Prior to his arrival I received texts and live gps to review how far he was I LOVED that! Angelo was SO respect of my house, he was VERY professional, quick and kind. He was upfront about costs and what he would complete for me! Pricing was fair and affordable. I had this SAME problem previously, went to a different company (started with a G and rhymes with peace) and they were “cheaper” but didn’t do the best job. They tried to tell me that to fix it, the price would be 5K - 10K (hard eye roll). Nevertheless, this is an awesome company!! If you found Mr. Rooter, just got with them!! I promise you, you won’t regret it!

Brandon is a true professional in every way from first contact regarding the job right up to the end. Yes, I paid more for Mr. Rooters' service but keeping my tenants happy with the least amount of disruption is always my priority so the extra expense was worth a lot less headaches. I will definitely use their service in the future and will always ask for Brandon to be my choice of techs.
